The Senior Installation Superintendent – Electronic Security is responsible for performing a wide variety of installation duties on technology projects for our clients. This position supports the sales strategy of providing a point of contact for multiple disciplines during the life cycle of the project. It is the key field position for the bulk of the actual work that gets done in our clients’ buildings.
The Superintendent must coordinate with project management, field superintendents and others to fully understand their role on specific projects, interpret our drawing packages, and oversee installation tasks, including rack and enclosure build outs, panel terminations, device installation, testing, and troubleshooting. The Superintendent will oversee complex system designs, mentor other technicians, and set an example in all aspects of the job.
You’ll Do
- Provide one point of onsite contact to the client
- Track hours for subcontractors and internal crew
- Run multiple installation superintendents on large projects
- Manage long-duration, large, complex projects or multiple subsystems (ESS)
- Review the BOM at the beginning of every job and understand the material required
- Communicate material requirements with the Project Manager and Design Engineering team
- Keep the job within the scope of the given timeframe
- If the job cannot be managed, communicate the issue to the Regional Supervisor/Project Manager/Program Manager
- Take ownership of job schedules and hold technicians/lead technicians accountable for timely work
- Maintain the schedule and follow DIV
28 specifications for quality control - Maintain communication with the Regional Supervisor weekly and keep written records on One
Note:- Expected milestones for each week
- Work accomplished with technicians/trades (sub-contractors, GC, EC)

- Discuss problems that may arise
- Site Readiness Document
- Site Inventory (kept up to date at minimum monthly)
- Redlines/RFIs
- Communicate the need for assistance or guidance for any required work, including labor or technical issues
- Catch problems in the drawing and/or matrix and inform the Project Manager/Design Engineer ASAP
- Prioritize time and manage multiple sites simultaneously
- Maintain constant communication with staff/sub-contractors on any job site
- Delegate any/all work to technicians/lead technicians/sub-contractors, even when at different locations
- Maintain inventory and keep a record online using One Note
- Notify Regional Supervisor/Project Manager if equipment is missing or defective; replacement may be delayed by lead times
- Operate in a positive team environment to share knowledge and further develop skill sets/proficiency
- Single point of contact for a project manager for all field staff, including technicians, union technicians, leads, supers, FE’s, etc.
- Responsible for performing tasks on client sites with no supervision; coordinate with clients, contractors, and subcontractors
- Act as the key and only senior field supervisor in many situations, delegating work, monitoring others, and communicating with key stakeholders on behalf of the PM
