Job Title:

Maintenance Lead Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Lead who understands, follows, and enforces all established safety, health, quality, GMP, and company policies, procedures, and recognized practices. This role requires performing highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and plant facility equipment, including setting up and troubleshooting packaging machines and lines.

Responsibilities
  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
  • Set up and troubleshoot packaging machines and lines.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
  • Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards.
  • Regulate machine flow or speed.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during operation and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Utilize mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Essential Skills
  • Troubleshooting experience.
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Experience and familiarity with motors, pneumatic, hydraulics, conveyors, fillers, and scaling systems.
  • Experience with single and three-phase equipment and voltages up to 480.
  • Proficiency in using basic electrical testing equipment such as volt meters, amp meters, and ohm meters.
  • VFD experience.
Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • Welding experience.
  • Ability to understand PLCs from different brands.
  • Experience with Bosch vertical bagger equipment.

Work Environment

This position operates on the 3rd Shift from 10pm to 6:30am, with plenty of opportunities for overtime. The environment is very clean, resembling a coffee and bakery shop, with a GMP setting. You will work with gravity-fed high-speed packaging equipment in a well-lit, spacious area. The facility packages mostly dry goods and is looking to expand, possibly adding on to the current building.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
