Production Planner

Dynacast, LLC, a Form Technologies Company, is currently looking for a hard‑working and reliable Production Planner on 1st shift. This position plays a high impact role within our manufacturing team, with key responsibilities directly supporting the strategic growth plan for Dynacast.

Pay: Starting at $62,000/yr., based on experience

• Schedule production orders effectively to meet customer order requirements.
• Understand Manufacturing constraints and plan accordingly.
• Issue PO Requisition s for purchased subcomponents based on replenishment cycles and manufacturing plans
• Monitor material inventories, request cycle counts or incoming receipt count audits as necessary.
• Track progress of Manufacturing and update job schedule accordingly.
• Analyze machine capacity, run sizes, and safety stock levels to ensure optimum manufacturing efficiency.
• Maintain inventory levels in both WIP and finished goods per company goals.
• Be aware of Manufacturing Capacity and work closely with Manufacturing to review and adjust the schedule based upon performance variables.
• Support new product launch activities in a cross‑departmental capacity.
• Understand and support BOM revision control.
• Manage and support projects as directed by department manager.
• Edit item master information to ensure accuracy of MRP functionality.
• Follow all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and guidelines.
• Adjust schedule to meet changing variables (customer demand), sales forecasting accuracy shortfall and last‑minute business opportunity drops/adds.
• Builds and maintains good business vendor relationships.
• Analyze and prepare documents needed for production such as Vendor Balance and expedite reports, late to cast list and production schedules.
• Interacts with shop floor management daily to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies or additional information as requested from shop floor.
• Interfaces with Shipping/Receiving regarding incoming and outgoing shipments daily.
• Attends and participates in internal meetings such as T2, Sales, etc. to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Perform audits as assigned. (e.g. LPA Audits)

An associate’s degree and/or 3 years of experience. Proficient use of Excel & MS Office. Proficient use of ERP systems;
Epicor a plus. Knowledge and understanding of Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints (TOC) and/or 5S.
