Job Title:

General Labor-Production

Summary:

Assist in the safe production of quality products by ensuring parts are moved through the production process efficiently and checked for quality. This includes:

• Line loading
• Repacking
• Visual Inspection
• Sorting

Starting Wage: $16.00 per hour. We offer a 2nd shift differential of $2.50 per hour and a 3rd shift differential of $3.00 per hour. The actual base pay offered will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

• Follow all company rules and regulations related to environmental, health, and safety.
• Safely operate pallet jacks to lift and transfer materials from one place to another.
• Supply components to hoppers, indexing poles or conveyors.
• Load parts from the basket to machine conveyor.
• Remove finished parts from the machines. Inspect as necessary and pack properly.
• Visually inspect components and parts for defects, sort and disassemble defect parts.
• Perform cleaning and 5S tasks.
• This list is not inclusive; other job-related tasks may be assigned.

• Able to read, write and speak English well enough to successfully pass safety training.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Concentrate on a task over several minutes without being distracted.
• Arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern.
• Physically move objects safely by using proper lifting techniques.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts; hazards common to industrial settings; chemicals, vibration, and loud noises.
• Safety shoes, safety glasses, chemical resistant gloves and bump caps for this position must be worn on the production floor. Other personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required.
• Jobs on the production floor require a minimum 40-hour workweek. Overtime may be required.
• The pace of work is steady and fast.
• Employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• This position requires sufficient vision to see details at close range, so the person can pass an inspection test of finished parts and components.
