General Labor, Forklift Operator
Job Summary
Under general supervision, the Equipment Operator operates a variety of equipment in a warehouse environment. The operator will have a basic understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and equipment safety guards.
Responsibilities- Follow all Maintenance and Safety Procedures.
- Promote a safe work environment through personal actions; identify any safety concerns.
- Load and unload trailers, scan merchandise, build pallets and label merchandise.
- Replenish and/or stock merchandise as needed.
- Perform manual, computer or RF functions to enter data in systems.
- Perform count of product / reconciliations (count cycle).
- Check for accuracy and placement of product in designated zones.
- Direct product to correct area in warehouse.
- Move product safely using motorized equipment including forklift, pallet rider; follow instructions for operating equipment.
- Clear work area of loose wood and plastic.
- Sweep work area as needed.
- Report faulty equipment, damage to racks, and other safety hazards to supervisor.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to lift heavy boxes.
- Ability to follow instructions and take directions.
- Ability to perform tasks consistently and accurately.
- Basic reading, writing, math and computer operations.
- Attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others.
Generally requires a minimum of one (1) year experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Education RequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent education and work experience.
Equipment Knowledge- Operate a forklift.
- Ability to become forklift certified.
- Ability to safely operate hand and power equipment according to procedure.
Able to identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly using sound judgment, poise and diplomacy. Ability to use judgment and reasoning skills, and determine when to elevate issues in a timely manner.
Physical DemandsRegular requirements to talk, hear, stand, walk, climb stairs, use hands and fingers, bend, stoop, reach with hands and arms; includes lifting/moving materials up to 60 pounds often. Proper lifting techniques required. Reasonable accommodations may be made.
Work Environment- Hectic, fast‑paced with multi‑level distractions.
- Warehouse environment; may require safety equipment.
- Company uniforms, closed‑toed shoes, casual work environment.
- Ability to work extended hours as required.

Pay ScaleAnticipated range: $16—$25 USD.
