At George Evans Corporation, we don’t just fill positions—we build a team of people who take pride in hard work, quality, and doing things the right way.
If you like staying busy, working with your hands, and being part of a team that actually depends on you… this is your kind of job.
What You’ll Be DoingThis is a hands‑on role in our Weld Department where no two days feel exactly the same:
- Grind, prep, and finish metal parts to meet quality standards
- Inspect materials, in‑process work, and finished products
- Read prints and follow procedures to get the job done right
- Operate hoists, cranes, and shop equipment safely
- Use measuring tools to make sure everything is within spec
- Help identify and prevent quality issues before they become problems
- Work side‑by‑side with a team focused on productivity and efficiency
You’re not just “general labor”—you’re a key part of ensuring our products leave here right the first time.
What You Bring- Manufacturing or hands‑on experience preferred (2–3 years is a plus)
- Ability to read drawings and use basic math
- Attention to detail (this matters here)
- Reliability and strong attendance
- Willingness to learn, improve, and be part of a team
Let’s be real—this is physical work, and that’s part of what makes it rewarding:
- On your feet for 10‑hour shifts
- Lifting, grinding, bending, moving
- Working with tools, machines, and metal all day
- Staying active and engaged (no desk sitting here)
If you like to move, build, and see what you accomplished at the end of the day—you’ll thrive here.
