Controls Technician
Join Plastipak as a Controls Technician in a safe and supportive work environment. You will use your knowledge of RS Logix 500, RS Logix 5000, and computer networking to repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as electric motors, pneumatic and conveyor systems, vision systems, production equipment, and plant support machines. You will also program Allen Bradley PLCs, HMIs, vision systems, and networking, and engineer MTBF improvements.
Responsibilities- Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Program Allen Bradley PLCs, HMIs, vision systems, and networking.
- Engineer MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) improvements.
- Grow your knowledge and skills through a wide variety of training and on‑the‑job experiences.
- Associate's Degree (A.A. or A.S.) or equivalent strongly preferred.
- Minimum of one year of electrical experience, gained through paid or unpaid work and education.
- Minimum of one year of PLC or Ladder Logic programming experience.
- Experience with FANUC robots highly preferred.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot and problem‑solve.
- Physical ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds.
Night shift (6:45pm–7:15am) on a 3 days on / 2 days off / 2 days on / 3 days off cycle. Pay range is $25.00–$30.00 per hour with a $1.00 per hour shift differential for night shift.
