Job Summary
The Electric Vibration Assembler is an entry‑level position in the technical realm of large/small frame AC electric & hydraulic vibration. The role involves assembling, testing, modifying, inspecting, and repairing electric and hydraulic vibratory equipment and accessories according to blueprints or work instructions. The assembler will learn advanced electrical diagnostics and electronically document each vibrator’s performance characteristics as required. Responsibilities include evaluating, estimating, and repairing Martin vibrators for warranty claims or customer repair needs, maintaining a clean and organized work cell, handling vibration components, and demonstrating quality consciousness and effective communication skills.
Responsibilities& Duties
- Assembles, tests, and modifies electric vibratory equipment and accessories; inspects components and subassemblies during assembly to minimize product failure.
- Assists with testing, evaluating, and repairing returned units; prepares repair estimates and works with customer service to determine whether repair or replacement is required.
- Completes outside vendor training on basic bearing knowledge, electrical motor operations, and diagnosis.
- Documents all procedures to ensure measurements are accurate and complies with established standards including ISO, U.L., and ATEX compliance; evaluates problems with returned goods by conducting appropriate testing procedures.
- Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations; assists with material handling and proper storage of vibration motor components.
- Assists customers and engineering regarding quality issues, technical matters, and troubleshooting.
- Initiates procedures that comply with OSHA/MSHA requirements regarding safety issues, use of safety equipment, and material safety data sheets.
- Attends company and industry‑related meetings as required.
- Establishes individual goals aligned with the company’s business strategies and lean manufacturing objectives.
- Participates as a member of the department’s team or other assigned teams and contributes to accomplishing the team’s goals.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Two‑year technical degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
- One or more years of job‑related experience; experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics preferred.
