Job Description & Requirements

Crysalis Biosciences Inc. is seeking skilled chemical operators. The role involves operating computer-controlled process equipment and manual machinery, evaluating and troubleshooting process issues, and documenting process parameters. Operators help ensure maximum production quantity and quality while supporting company goals and objectives.

  • Monitor and control plant operations.
  • Constantly review plant operations, control the process, ensure product quality, anticipate and solve problems, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in projects to improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.
  • Maintain records of key production variables (including production volume, yield, plant uptime, and utility consumption).
  • Collaborate and communicate with QA to ensure effective participation in QA programs related to sampling and testing of process streams and products.
  • Ensure compliance with all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety procedures.
  • Coordinate with maintenance to ensure timely repair work, assisting in diagnosing and troubleshooting any maintenance issues.
  • Participate in safety, health, and environmental programs.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable city, county, state, and federal regulations relating to operations.
  • Ensure plant cleanliness and monitor use/inventory of process chemicals and supplies.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Process Technology, Chemical Operations, or related field preferred.
  • Experience with dry-mill ethanol plants and coproduct operations (DDGS, corn oil extraction).
  • 5–7 years of experience as a chemical operator in an ethanol production facility or similar process manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Able to operate safely and efficiently, monitor, and troubleshoot ethanol production processes.
