Job Description & RequirementsCrysalis Biosciences Inc. is seeking skilled chemical operators. The role involves operating computer-controlled process equipment and manual machinery, evaluating and troubleshooting process issues, and documenting process parameters. Operators help ensure maximum production quantity and quality while supporting company goals and objectives.
- Monitor and control plant operations.
- Constantly review plant operations, control the process, ensure product quality, anticipate and solve problems, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in projects to improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.
- Maintain records of key production variables (including production volume, yield, plant uptime, and utility consumption).
- Collaborate and communicate with QA to ensure effective participation in QA programs related to sampling and testing of process streams and products.
- Ensure compliance with all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety procedures.
- Coordinate with maintenance to ensure timely repair work, assisting in diagnosing and troubleshooting any maintenance issues.
- Participate in safety, health, and environmental programs.
- Maintain compliance with applicable city, county, state, and federal regulations relating to operations.
- Ensure plant cleanliness and monitor use/inventory of process chemicals and supplies.
- Associate degree in Process Technology, Chemical Operations, or related field preferred.
- Experience with dry-mill ethanol plants and coproduct operations (DDGS, corn oil extraction).
- 5–7 years of experience as a chemical operator in an ethanol production facility or similar process manufacturing environment preferred.
- Able to operate safely and efficiently, monitor, and troubleshoot ethanol production processes.
