Position OverviewWe are hiring Press Brake Operators to support production operations across the Congerville facility. This role is responsible for setting up and operating forming equipment to bend, shape, and process steel parts while ensuring accuracy and quality.
Employees in this role may operate press brakes and other forming equipment to perform bending, flattening, or roll forming operations. This position may support multiple areas of the operation based on experience and business needs.
1+ year of experience operating press brakes or similar forming equipment is preferred for this role.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate equipment to perform bending and forming operations
- Select and adjust machine settings, tooling, and dies to ensure optimal forming performance and quality
- Perform quality inspections to ensure parts meet specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
- Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Work with supervisors and team members to meet production schedule and goals
- 1+ year experience operating press brakes or similar forming equipment preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Experience with overhead or jib cranes
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to use measuring devices including tape measures and gauges
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, and/or climb for extended periods (8+ hours per shift)
- Ability to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, or crouch
- Work is performed indoors in a non-climate controlled manufacturing facility
Multiple shifts are available. Applicants will have the opportunity to indicate their preferred shift during the application process. 2nd and 3rd shift positions may include additional pay through a shift differential. Final shift assignment will be based on business needs and applicant experience.
Overtime opportunities may be available based on workload and production needs.
