Job Description
- Supervise manufacturing personnel on a day‑to‑day basis to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Evaluate work centers and allocate manpower to maximize productivity.
- Make production and personnel decisions to maintain a safe, orderly production environment.
- Learn and use ERP systems for data entry and transactions.
- Communicate with staffing agencies as needed.
- Correct non‑standard behavior and, when disciplinary action is required, advise Human Resources and the Production Manager.
- Promote safety, quality, and production goals.
- Provide leadership and coaching, encouraging teamwork and sharing successes.
- Maintain plant appearance through housekeeping oversight.
- Ensure smooth shift hand‑offs by communicating effectively with incoming personnel.
- Verify shop orders for material and component issues.
- Monitor production levels, rejects, and downtime by being present in the work rooms.
- Train employees, ensuring they understand job requirements and can perform tasks effectively.
- Conduct annual reviews of shift employees.
- Verify employee time punches and maintain accurate attendance records.
- Approve shift staff vacation time to keep adequate staffing for customer demands.
- 3–5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment overseeing production.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong ability to read and interpret ERP system instructions and record data accurately.
- Knowledge of Medical room requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for spreadsheets, charts, and graphs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Basic arithmetic skills—addition, subtraction, multiplication, division with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute ratios and percentages.
- Professional demeanor when interacting with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
- Frequently stand and walk; regularly use hands to handle tools and controls.
- Often reach with hands and arms; regularly communicate verbally.
- Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Requires close, color, depth vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Pay Range: $25 – $29 per hour. Overtime and shift premium compensation may apply.
