We have an exciting opportunity for a Materials Team Lead in our South Elgin, IL facility. The Materials Team Lead is responsible for leading daily material handling operations and providing training & support to Material Control employees while ensuring inventory, packaging, shipping, receiving and communication are executed properly to meet departmental and company objectives.

This position is located at our South Elgin, IL facility.

• Ensure use of proper material handling practices and maintain inventory control through accurate transactions.
• Assist Supervisor in day-to-day allocation of resources to complete daily tasks.
• Effectively train employees on procedures in material control, shipping, receiving and crating.
• Ensure cross-training to different roles within the department.
• Communicate with suppliers, receivers, freight companies and staff for smooth shipment.

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED). One year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to use a variety of material handling equipment, including a forklift
• Experience in domestic and international shipping procedures and methods
