Mold Maker / Tool Maker

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour (Based on Experience)

Full-Time | 1st Shift | Temp-to-Hire

Masterson Staffing is seeking an experienced Mold Maker / Tool Maker for a client in Elgin, IL. This position is responsible for building, repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting injection molds to support production operations and ensure high-quality output.

• Repair, maintain, and troubleshoot injection molds and tooling
• Perform preventative maintenance on molds and related equipment
• Disassemble, inspect, clean, and reassemble molds
• Operate manual machine shop equipment, including mills, grinders, lathes, and drill presses
• Modify tooling as needed to improve performance and quality
• Diagnose mold-related issues and implement corrective actions
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to support manufacturing goals
• Maintain a safe and organized work area

• Previous experience as a Mold Maker, Tool Maker, Mold Technician, or similar role
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience with precision measuring instruments and machine shop equipment
• Knowledge of injection molding processes preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
• Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the shift
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
