What You'll Do- Operate Citizen Swiss CNC machines to produce precision parts
- Run and monitor multiple machines simultaneously in a production cell
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure quality standards
- Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
- Use micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools to verify tolerances
- Identify and report any machining issues, defects, or irregularities
- Support setup operators as needed
- Assist with basic preventative maintenance to keep machines running efficiently
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace aligned with lean manufacturing practices
- Collaborate with your team to meet production goals and improve processes
- 3+ years of CNC operating experience (milling, lathe, or Swiss-style)
- Experience running production and monitoring multiple machines
- Strong skills using precision measuring instruments
- Ability to perform quality checks and inspections independently
- Comfortable reading and understanding blueprints
- High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Ability to thrive in a structured, team-oriented manufacturing environment
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Swiss-style CNC (Citizen machines preferred)
- Exposure to preventative maintenance practices
- Additional machining experience (milling/lathe)
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles

Availability on all three shifts:
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: 1:30 PM – 11:00 PM
- 3rd Shift: 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, IL.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms. If eligible, the benefits available for this temporary role may include the following:
