Production Supervisor - Days

The Production Supervisor is responsible for directing and supervising activities of a production team and shift/department. The role directs many direct reports and ensures safety, quality, delivery and cost standards are met while meeting waste reduction and sustainability goals. The individual will also create a culture based on integrity, customer focus, innovation and collaboration, and will be responsible for all people leadership and management aspects of the department, including interviewing, selection and performance management.

• Drive company to achieve goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating flow of production.
• Effectively manage labor to meet plant labor productivity & cost goals by coordinating work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequence.
• Monitor production activities, identify problems, and troubleshoot causes to develop solutions.
• Plan and manage daily, weekly, and monthly objectives, communicating them to employees to ensure alignment.
• Create, train, monitor, and evaluate team on safety, quality and standard operating procedures.
• Train and understand all existing and any new production equipment – create and/or review training documentation to ensure it’s up to date and accurate.
• Troubleshoot processing techniques and production machinery and provide solutions for continuous improvement.
• Accurately record, communicate, and maintain required documentation in a timely manner.
• Analyze and submit daily reporting on performance and progress as it relates to production, quality, safety, staffing, and regular maintenance duties.

• Exposure to moving equipment.
• Inside work.
• Heat may exceed 90°F.
• Humidity may exceed 80%.
• Noise may exceed 85 dB+.

• Frequent standing, stooping, squatting, up to 75% of time.
• Occasional lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent typing/keyboarding/ preparing documents, voice‑assisted as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant manufacturing experience required.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years’ experience with a minimum 3 years in a supervisory position.
• Strong background in manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook required, with some knowledge of Word/PowerPoint.

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions. Actual base pay could vary. The range for this role is estimated to be $80,000–$100,000. Compensation details listed in US job postings reflect base salary only and do not include benefits.
