Job SummaryUnder the direction of Dept Supervisor, oversee and ensure the production of the highest quality products at the lowest possible cost, while meeting company standards for quality and performance, customer specifications and delivery requirements, in accordance with Ever Tec policies and procedures.
OverviewMust have the technical ability to operate all types of converting lines and finishing equipment within Pregis standards for waste, quality and productivity. Understands and adheres to all Standard Operating Procedures. Set up and operate all special functions and capabilities with minimal supervision or direction. Train other employees when requested or required. Analyze issues, determine, and implement solutions. Provide innovative / creative solutions for opportunities and improvements.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Main role in this position is to maintain consumables during machine production run times at established KPIs. This includes all adhesives, paper and labels.
- Understanding operation of label applicators and hotmelt system is critical in this role.
- Reads and understands all information on job ticket pertaining to a specific job. Ensure that all necessary components to produce the job are present. Does not move forward on any job with conflicting information.
- Fully understands how to achieve print quality, register, and die cutting equipment.
- Can achieve acceptable registration within specified M/R standards.
- Has complete understanding and ability to operate all line ancillary equipment.
- Ability to effectively set up and operate all inline equipment (i.e., gluing, labeling, die units, etc.)
- Understands the basics of setting up fan fold unit to required specs with minimal supervision.
- Capable of installing Flexo plates and setting Flexo print cylinders for optimal print and manufacturing life.
- Has the ability to perform minor mechanical repairs and adjustments.
- Strives to maintain 100% of standard KPI for productivity, waste, and quality standards.
- Accurately enters all codes for quantities, consumed materials onto required paperwork.
- Understands and demonstrates ability to accurately track line counts.
- Performs necessary functions to operate the line with minimal supervision. Establishes and promotes an environment for learning and process improvement.
- Consistently looks for ways to improve processes and efficiencies to reduce waste and increase production within quality standards set.
- Works within all safety guidelines and procedures. Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- Ensure the maintenance of departmental housekeeping standards.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and work rules and regulations.
- Interacts well between shifts to gain and pass along all information to facilitate a smooth transition without interruption.

- Overtime expected per business demand.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- 5-7 years of progressive responsibility and/or related experience.
The hourly base pay range for this role is estimated to be $22-$26. The base pay is just one component of Pregis’s total compensation package.
