Job Summary
Operates multiple machines to sort product meeting customer requirements. Ensures product is free of mixtures and defects by performing the following duties:
Primary Responsibilities- Start machine and perform daily checks to detect malfunctions of the machine. Report malfunction to supervisor.
- Perform daily preventive maintenance and simple setups to ensure good operation of the machines.
- Perform red rabbits (Camera Verification) after each machine changeover and label finished goods.
- Prepare product to ship free of mixtures and product defects.
- Weigh and check finished goods.
- Maintain a safe, clean/sanitized and organized work environment at all times.
- Perform in compliance with all company procedures, policies, work instructions, and knowledge of internal and external requirements.
- Assist in making improvements to the overall business using ITW operating principles.
- High school education or GED:
Manufacturing experience or training a plus. - Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Arithmetic skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Forklift Certification Required.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and manipulate hands, wrist, and fingers to grasp tools and parts. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Compensation$22.40 per hour.
