Injection Molding Press Setup Technician

Shape production from the first tool hang to steady-state runs

From the moment a mold arrives at the press, you take the lead. You mount and align tooling, bring the press online, and fine-tune the run so parts flow steadily and within spec. When something changes mid-cycle, you diagnose quickly and get production back on track, all while following documented work instructions.

What you will doHang and set up molds/tooling to prepare for production, then start up jobs and stabilize the process.

Adjust parameters and troubleshoot issues during runs in strict accordance with work instructions.

Own mold tooling inventory control to ensure the right tools and components are accounted for and ready.

Tear down presses and complete mold pulls following established procedures.

Keep the shop organized: routine maintenance, cleaning, and general housekeeping.

Update the ERP system with accurate downtime codes and tool setup records.

Verify presses are operating correctly; promptly communicate concerns to the supervisor.

Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or 12 years of formal education preferred (not required).Solid basic math skills.

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Minimum of 5 years of injection molding experience preferred.

Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience.

Ability to lift 60+ pounds, climb stairs, and stand for up to 8 hours.

Forklift operation ability.
