Key Responsibilities
2nd Shift Opening:
Start at 3:00 PM
- Operate manual or CNC lathe machines set up by others
- Perform machining operations: turning, boring, facing, drilling, and chamfering
- Work from blueprints, job orders, process sheets, and verbal instructions
- Load parts and verify dimensions using gauges and precision instruments
- Deburr, drill, and tap components according to specifications
- Resharpen tools under guidance
- Report equipment malfunctions, material issues, or unusual conditions
- Maintain accurate department records
- Keep work area and equipment clean and organized
- Move materials and chips using hand tools; may operate a power truck
