CV-Tek is seeking a hands-on Welding Supervisor to lead our 2nd Shift manufacturing team.

This is not a desk job.

Approximately 80% of this role is spent working alongside the team performing TIG welding and fabrication work, while 20% is dedicated to leading, coaching, developing, and holding employees accountable.

We manufacture high-quality stainless steel food packaging equipment that is shipped to customers throughout the industry. Quality matters. Appearance matters. Craftsmanship matters.

Schedule

• 2nd Shift
• 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• 2-4 weeks of paid training on 1st Shift
• Overtime available (approximately 2 hours per day)
• Overtime is not mandatory
• No weekend work currently

What You'll Do

• Lead a small 2nd Shift manufacturing team consisting of welders and CNC machinists
• Perform hands-on TIG welding and fabrication work
• Ensure all work meets CV-Tek's quality and cosmetic standards
• Support production priorities and coordinate with 1st Shift leadership
• Train and develop less experienced welders
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance
• Enforce safety requirements and best practices
• Coach employees and hold them accountable for performance, attendance, quality, and safety expectations
• Foster a positive and professional team environment
• Help drive continuous improvement throughout the operation

Requirements

Required

• Strong TIG welding experience
• Experience welding stainless steel
• Previous leadership, lead person, or supervisory experience
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently
• Commitment to quality and safety

Preferred

• Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
• Food equipment manufacturing experience
• Fabrication experience
• Welding certifications
• Experience developing and mentoring junior welders

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for the entire shift
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to work overtime when needed

Salary Description

$32-38/hour
