About the job
As Global Strategic Marketing Manager‑Paints, you will hold full responsibility for the segment’s global market strategy, marketing, and innovation agenda. You will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and implement strategic initiatives that accelerate profitable growth for the architectural paint business. Working at the intersection of market insight, innovation, and commercial execution, you will shape the segment’s long‑term direction and translate strategy into impactful actions and results.
This is an onsite position and can be located in Radnor, PA;
Chicago, IL;
Bridgewater, NJ; or Houston, TX.
- Define, develop, and execute the global market strategy for the architectural paint segment, with a strong focus on innovation and long‑term value creation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, co‑suppliers, and key influencers to increase share of wallet with targeted customers and shape future market needs.
- Identify and synthesize customer and competitor insights to translate them into innovative, winning marketing platforms and value propositions that enhance customer engagement.
- Apply best‑practice ideation tools to identify innovation opportunities and lead cross‑functional innovation programs through the stage‑gate process from concept to successful market launch.
- Establish, maintain, and monitor a strategic innovation pipeline and related performance metrics aligned with the global market strategy.
- Create and implement architectural paint market communication plans in close collaboration with the global marketing communications team to support both innovation launches and overall strategic positioning.
- A bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Business Administration, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 5–7 years of experience in a combination of sales, marketing, or product management roles, ideally within the chemical industry; prior exposure to the architectural paint market is a strong plus.
- Fluency in English; additional relevant languages are an advantage.
- A strong ability to work effectively across global cultures and within cross‑functional, international teams.
- A clear results orientation, with a demonstrated track record of delivering on objectives.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills.
- Proven leadership capabilities and the ability to influence and align stakeholders.
- Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to translate market and customer insights into value‑creating actions.
- Solid negotiation skills and experience managing external and internal stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive initiatives to completion.
- Robust problem‑solving skills, with a structured and analytical approach.
- The ability to quickly earn the confidence and trust of the sales organization and other key partners.
- A high level of proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
This role reports directly to the Strategic Marketing Director of Construction Specialties.
