As an Executive Communications Manager - Americas (Hybrid; based in Elgin, Illinois) you’ll play a key role as the in-region representative for Corporate Communications for HARTING Technology Group, acting as the local extension of HQ-based Corporate Communications and supporting HARTING board members when in the region. The position is responsible for developing internal executive and Board-level presentations and announcements, as well as external communications that align with HARTING's global strategy, regional business objectives, and corporate development initiatives.
The role partners closely with the direct reports of the CSMO, as well as Americas marketing and HR teams to ensure consistent messaging, enhance leadership visibility, and foster engagement across key stakeholders at both global and regional levels.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement communication strategies that articulate the vision and priorities of the CSMO to key audiences, including HARTING Technology Group Board members, shareholders, management, and employees.
- Provide strategic narrative support and lead content development for executive presentations and speeches, ensuring executive partners’ goals are achieved in key settings (annual International Management Meeting, annual sales kickoff meetings, etc.).
- Collaborate with global and regional executive leaders when market research and intelligence findings are required to support the strategic narrative presented.
- Support external communications such as press releases, media statements, personal Linked In activity, and thought leadership pieces on behalf of the executive to strengthen brand reputation, in partnership with Region and Global Marketing and Global Corporate Communications & Branding.
- As bandwidth allows, provide executive communications templates and strategic narrative support to Sales Managing Directors and the Americas Chief Operations Officer.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Travel up to 10%.
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience involving corporate communications strategy and execution in a B2B environment.
- Expertise in PowerPoint.
- Competitive base salary: $100,000 - $130,000 (commensurate with experience, subject to change based on physical location).
- Eligible for a 10% discretionary annual bonus.
