The Urgent Care Fellowship program is a minimum 9‑month continuing specialty rotation that will provide enhanced clinical experience in the field of Urgent Care Medicine. The Fellow will have one‑on‑one preceptorship with the Urgent Care Clinical Faculty, will learn through hands‑on care of patients and receive ongoing lectures, guided by the provided didactic curriculum.

Mission,Goals, and Strengths
The mission of the fellowship program is to provide fellows with comprehensive structural, cognitive, and clinical education that will enable them to become competent, proficient, and professional urgent care providers. The goals and objectives of the urgent care fellowship program are to train fellows to become proficient in the Well Now core competencies and position them for success in a fast‑paced urgent care environment.
Salary: $90,000 annually. Signing bonus of $10,000 offered for qualified Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.
Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with urgent care teams under the mentorship of experienced NP/PA’s to provide care for patients across our sites, including examination, diagnosis, and treatment of patients of all ages with acute illnesses and injuries or exacerbations of chronic disease.
- Order evidence‑based testing, prescribe medications, and refer to outside specialists as required.
- Provide occupational medicine services, including DOT exams and the treatment of worker’s compensation injuries.
- Perform pre‑participation physicals for camps, sports, and employment.
- Maintain patient charts accurately and comprehensively.
- Document patient information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Successful completion of an accredited approved PA or FNP program.
- Physician Assistants must have active board certification with NCCPA.
- Family Nurse Practitioners must have active board certification with AANP or ANCC.
- Licensure as a Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner in the state where you are applying is required.
- Demonstrated clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relationship skills, computer competence, and an active desire to learn.
