This is a 12-week Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) assignment beginning on November 3, 2025. The position does not allow time for obtaining a new state license, so candidates must already be licensed in the state at the time of submission. The role involves working weekday 8-hour shifts with no in-house call, no pager call on weeknights or weekends, and while overtime is not expected, it is available.
The facility runs 20 anesthesia rooms and uses Epic and iPro as its charting systems. CRNAs are supervised by anesthesiologists at a 2:1 CRNA-to-MD ratio. Physicians both supervise and perform their own cases. Case types include general, orthopedic, and obstetric anesthesia.
- Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments
- Verify patient consent
- Discuss anesthetic options and associated risks
- Perform induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitor the patient's physiological condition
- Carry out clinical interventions as needed
- Current certification as a CRNA by the National Board on Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
- Valid, unrestricted RN and CRNA licenses in Illinois
- Minimum of 1–3 years of CRNA experience preferred; proficiency in General, OB and Ortho
- Strong clinical knowledge and ability to provide anesthesia care to diverse patient populations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and the care team
- BLS and ACLS required; PALS and other advanced certifications as applicable
- Must already have IL license before applying
