Pay Information$40 per hour
About The PositionAdelphi is seeking qualified Registered Nurses to provide comprehensive nursing services within a secured correctional healthcare setting in DuPage County, Illinois. The nurses will deliver medical care and health support for individuals in custody, including intake evaluations, routine sick calls, treatment administration, and patient education, ensuring compliance with established clinical and institutional standards.

Schedule:
12-hour shifts (6:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.), Sunday through Saturday - Staffing Model:
Four (4) RNs on day shift, three (3) on night shift - Pay Rate: $40/hr
- Current and valid Illinois Registered Nursing (RN) license
- Current CPR certification
- Successful completion of criminal background and fingerprint checks
- Annual tuberculosis (TB) testing in accordance with facility policy
- Completion of facility orientation and competency requirements
- Adherence to facility policies, security standards, and confidentiality regulations
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and provide treatment as ordered by the physician or nurse practitioner
- Administer medications, treatments, and immunizations accurately and in compliance with facility protocol
- Maintain detailed and timely medical documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, treatment logs, and care plan updates
- Monitor patient progress and communicate with other healthcare professionals regarding medical conditions, treatment outcomes, and ongoing needs
- Support intake screenings, chronic care, and emergency response procedures
- Promote and maintain infection control and hygiene practices
- Educate individuals on prescribed treatments and preventive health measures
- Ensure all clinical activities are compliant with state regulations, ACA, and NCCHC standards
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirements
- Participate in required in-service education and training programs
- Any other duties as assigned.
