Job Title
Travel RN - Operating Room (Elgin, IL)
Position SummaryAmerican Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an operating room (OR) position in Elgin, IL. This is a 13‑week travel assignment beginning on May 25, 2026.
Schedule & Assignment Details- Shift: Days, 8‑hour blocks (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) Monday through Friday
- Hours:
40 hrs per week - On‑call: rotating base, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
- Duration: 13 weeks (one opening available)
Provide surgical nursing care in the operating room setting, maintaining high standards of patient safety and compliance with institutional protocols.
Requirements- Active Illinois (IL) RN license
- Minimum 1 year of surgical nursing experience
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
- Availability for 13‑week contract; on‑call duty required
- Experience with the facility's EMR system preferred; candidates without relevant EMR experience will not be considered
- Workplace Violence Prevention training (DCI/BVP) completed via Relias, Healthcare Staffing Hire, or the free CDC resource
