Overview
RN Infusion is responsible for providing direct and indirect care to SBL Infusion Services patients. Responsibilities include initiating and maintaining intravenous lines and tubing, administering medication and fluid therapy, educating patients and families on line maintenance and treatment, reviewing patient records, validating medication lists and histories, ensuring proper documentation, and monitoring for reactions.

Required Qualifications- ADN, Registered Nurse
- BLS or CPR certification within 90 days of hire
- Accepts reassignment at the direction of management as applicable to staffing levels and patient volumes.
- Assessment: collects pertinent data, recognizes normal and abnormal findings.
- Maintains exam rooms and work spaces; stocks and cleans in accordance with regulatory and infection control policies.
- Collaborates with physicians and health care team to address patient issues through information sharing and decision making.
- Processes patient charges for procedures and supplies accurately.
- Planning and coordination of care with appropriate disciplines for assigned patients.
- Diagnosis: analyzes assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnosis, problems, and issues.
- Educates patients and families about procedures and treatment.
- Evaluates progress toward goals and outcomes; reports data to physicians and other disciplines as appropriate.
- Handles patient phone calls for education and reassurance needs.
- Implements care and supervises care delivered by other team members per the plan of care and safety standards.
- Continues to pursue knowledge and skills through orientation, in-service programs, literature, and learning opportunities.
- Identifies expected outcomes for an individualized plan; participates in variance monitoring of clinical pathways.
- Performs general clerical duties such as handling test results, validating charges, transcribing data, ordering supplies, and communicating with patients and other departments.
- Develops plans to achieve measurable outcomes; establishes effective working relationships with peers and the health care team.
- Takes call after hours and provides call coverage as directed by management.
- Employs teaching strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
Estimated compensation range: $35.43 – $54.92 per hour. Pay is based on experience.
