Four Paws Animal Hospital is a full-service, AAHA-accredited veterinary practice seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our skilled team in O’Fallon, Illinois. What You’ll Do
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
- Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, laboratory testing, and sample collection based on experience.
- Obtain high-quality diagnostic radiographs.
- Support surgical and dental procedures, including preparation, anesthesia monitoring, recovery, and instrument care.
- Provide attentive nursing care for hospitalized, surgical, and recovering patients.
- Monitor patient comfort, vital signs, and overall condition throughout treatment and recovery.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients about their pets’ care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation.
- Keep treatment areas clean, organized, stocked, and ready for patient care.
- Support efficient hospital workflow through teamwork, professionalism, and clear communication.
What You’ll Bring
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant.
- Strong animal-handling, restraint, and technical skills.
- The ability to multitask and adapt in a busy clinical environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A reliable, detail-oriented, and compassionate approach to patient care.
- Confidence assisting with examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
- A commitment to high-quality medicine and exceptional client service.
