2‑year contract - Monday to Friday – 40‑hour work week. Some overtime as needed for business needs and training objectives.

Quality Systems Manager

$27 - $29 per hour

Provide laboratory and operational support to Chemtrade manufacturing facilities. Responsible for performing sample analyses using applicable internal and external analytical methodologies including associated documentation/certification.

• Knowledge:
  Bachelor’s degree in physical science or related field desired. Experience and/or related analytical associate degree may be substituted.
• Competencies:
  
  Attention to detail, adaptability, self‑starter, excellent leadership and communication skills are essential; must be able to perform work with minimal supervision to achieve a safe, environmentally sound and reliable operation.

• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain accurate documentation of analyses performed.
• Perform sample preparation activities which may include but are not limited to weighing, filtering, drying, grinding, digest and extractions.
• Perform wet chemistry analyses and generate certificate of analyses, where applicable.
• Assist management in ensuring all deliveries meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance to analytical equipment.
• Assist in troubleshooting operational quality issues.
• Assist with inventory management and procurement of laboratory supplies.
• Assist and serve as a backup for the Chemist as needed.
• Prepare, certify, and package product samples for shipment to internal and external customers.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, balancing, stooping, kneeling or crouching.
• Occasional lifting or moving items weighing up to 55 lbs.
• Specific vision capabilities required to detect slight color changes when performing various wet chemistry color‑based titrations. Titration indicator colors include but are not limited to yellow, brown, red, orange, green, blue, pink, white and black.
