Job DescriptionMotorola Solutions (MSI) is seeking a Senior Quality Manager to support our Systems Staging and ASTRO Upgrade Operations organizations. This role is critical to ensuring the integrity, reliability, compliance, and capability of our staged system and system upgrade processes.
Core Responsibilities- Process Quality:
Enforcement of staging processes and verification of process capability; ensure design excellence principles are executed to guarantee high yield and minimize field failures. - Lifecycle Performance:
Analyze downstream impact from staged system deployments and ASTRO upgrades and translate findings into applicable product and process improvements. - Compliance & Governance:
Manage internal audit programs to ensure all operations adhere to the Quality Management System (QMS), ISO 9001 standards, and regulatory requirements. - Issue Resolution:
Lead root cause analysis and execute corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues identified during staging or field upgrades. - Continuous Improvement:
Drive a culture of operational excellence using data analysis and quality tools to eliminate waste and improve system capability.
- Technical Expertise:
Strong technical background with mandatory expertise in DFMEA, DOE, and quality tools such as Root Cause Analysis and CAPA. - Data Proficiency:
Advanced proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as EazyBI and Tableau, plus experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems. - Certifications:
Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt, ASQ Certified Manager of Quality (CMQ), or ASQ Certified Quality Auditor preferred. - Leadership:
Demonstrated ability to define strategic roadmaps, drive organizational change, and present complex technical strategies to leadership.
$90,000 - $135,000
Basic Requirements- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
- At least 4+ years of experience in either product development or manufacturing
