We strive to create a welcoming atmosphere for all our customers, and we are looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Cashier/Sandwich Maker to join our team.
Mill Creek Bagel Company is looking for friendly, reliable team members to join our front-of-house and sandwich line team. This role is cross-trained to handle customer service, cashier duties, and sandwich preparation. We value quality, efficiency, and genuine hospitality, and we’re looking for people who take pride in their work.
Key Responsibilities- Strive to provide customers with a smooth and enjoyable experience from ordering to checkout. Accurately process cash, credit, and debit card transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Maintain the appearance of the front counter, ensuring it is clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to menu specifications and customer preferences.
- Slice, chop, and portion ingredients, ensuring freshness and quality in every order.
- Work collaboratively with team members during busy service periods
- Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned
- Experience
:
Previous experience as a sandwich maker, line cook, or in a similar role preferred but not required. Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role preferred but not required. Training will be provided. - Skills
:
Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and knowledge of basic kitchen safety practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, basic math skills for handling transactions, and ability to operate a POS system. - Attributes
:
Friendly, reliable, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Must be available for morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed. - Competitive hourly wage based on experience from $15-$17/hour
