Position Overview

The Barista role is an entry‑level position at Peet’s Coffee. Responsibilities include delivering exceptional customer experiences, preparing beverages to Peet’s high standards, supporting team operations, and driving sales through suggestive selling and product education.

• Competitive pay: $17.25 per hour, plus an estimated $3.00 to $6.00 per hour in tips.

• Deliver exceptional customer experiences by consistently following Peet’s service steps with quality engagement and friendly service.
• Prepare handcrafted beverages and products to Peet’s high standards in taste, appearance, and consistency.
• Collaborate with coworkers, seek feedback, and take initiative to support operations.
• Drive sales through suggestive selling, product education, and sampling.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well‑stocked coffee bar, demonstrating urgency and composure in a fast‑paced setting.
• Demonstrate reliability through consistent attendance, punctuality, and timely completion of tasks throughout the shift.
• Perform various physical tasks during the work shift as required.

• Minimum schedule availability of two days a week or more that meets business needs (including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and/or holidays).
• Legally eligible to work in the country where this job is located.
• At least 16 years of age or older.
• Ability to comply with Peet’s Employment of Minors policies and work with and among minors.
• Physical ability to perform the tasks described in the job description.
