District Consultant; Part-Time

Job Description

Renaissance, a leading provider of technology-based school improvement and student assessment programs for K‑12 schools, is seeking an education consultant to lead the strategic statewide implementation of Renaissance products purchased by Chicago Public Schools. The role is part‑time: 20 hours per week, with up to 40 hours during the back‑to‑school season. This position is located in the Chicagoland area and requires an understanding of the Chicago Public School system.

• Facilitate professional learning opportunities on best practices for product usage aligned to instructional practices.
• Coordinate professional development and technical services both in person and virtually.
• Create and maintain a detailed project schedule in collaboration with the Renaissance Project Management team.
• Work closely with key Renaissance leaders to resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Establish and maintain clear lines of communication with schools, district and state leaders, and Renaissance.
• Hold weekly status meetings with key leaders in conjunction with the Renaissance Project Management team.
• Build awareness for the implementation.
• Work with stakeholders remotely and onsite (when applicable) to monitor the implementation and form recommendations for next steps.
• Identify and act on opportunities that improve or expand the state’s implementation.

• Knowledge of Chicago Public Schools.
• Knowledge of the Star product.
• Ability to communicate with key state and district leaders.
• Understanding of how school districts operate within the state.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.

$50 per hour for 20‑40 hours per week.
