Job Summary

Reporting to the Mackage New York Sales Team, the Brand Ambassador is responsible for delivering a best-in-class brand presentation, merchandising execution, and customer experience across of wholesale department store partners. This role plays a key critical part in driving sales performance, elevating brand awareness, and ensuring Mackage is represented at the highest standard on the selling floor translating into measurable sales growth.

Success in this roe is achieved by being a team player who is resourceful, curious, and highly organized.

This position is based in Chicago's Bloomingdale's Department store and reports to the Mackage New York Sales Team.

What you'll do:
Sales & Business Development
  • Serve as the on-floor brand representative across designated wholesale retail locations, ensuring Mackage is showcased and sold to its fullest potential.
  • Achieve and exceed retail sales goals by identifying and executing sales-driving opportunities.
  • Analyze weekly sales goals by identifying and executing sales-driven opportunities, and support business objectives.
  • Build meaningful relationships with customers, delivering an exceptional client experience that drives conversion and brand loyalty.
  • Partner with department store management to maximize visibility, productivity, and sales performance.
Training & Brand Advocacy
  • Train, coach, and motivate retail sales associates on brand storytelling, seasonal collections, product knowledge, and key selling techniques.
  • Act as a trusted brand expert and resource for wholesale partners.
  • Foster strong relationships with sales associates, stock associates, visual merchandising teams, department managers, and store leadership to strength brand advocacy.
Merchandising & Operations
  • Execute and maintain Mackage visual merchandising standards across all locations.
  • Ensure sales floors and stockrooms are organized, replenished and presented to brand standards.
  • Identify inventory opportunities and communicate recommendations to store teams and management.
  • Support key marketing initiatives, produce launches, and in-store events as required.
Reporting and Communication
  • Provide weekly business recaps highlighting sales performance, competitive insights, merchandising updates, and opportunities.
  • Communicate urgent business needs, operational concerns, and growth opportunities in a timely manner.
  • Maintain consistent communication with the New York City Sales Team.
What you'll need:

Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of retail experience in a luxury, contemporary, or high-volume retail environment.
  • Experience in visual merchandising (an asset).
  • Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
Technical skills & competencies:
  • Proven ability to influence and train in a retail environment.
  • Good understanding of fashion trends (an asset).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and POS operating systems.
  • Possess a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail & solution driven.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers, sales associates, and high-level management; able to engage teams and customers with passion and credibility.
  • Highly organized and adaptable, with the ability to balance multiple responsibilities.
  • Vision to be able to distinguish color.
  • Ability to maneuver around the sales floor, stock/dressing room, lift/climb/ carry up to 30 lbs. and climb moderately.
  • Able to perform extensive standing, walking, climbing, and lifting
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business i.e. day, evening, and weekends.
