Position Summary
Sales Development Representative will generate sales opportunities through outbound calls, contacting prospective leads from business development events, marketing campaigns, and call lists. The role involves prospecting new and existing practices and turning viable leads over to Technology Sales Executive.
Responsibilities- Develop new sales qualified leads via telephone and email communication within a marketing and sales focused list of accounts.
- Interact with Salesforce to follow the sales process, creating opportunities and assigning demos to Technology Sales Executives.
- Identify cross-sell opportunities and generate interest with prospective customers.
- Update and maintain customer data within Salesforce.
- Coordinate customer meetings with Technology Sales Executives and provide follow up as needed.
- Consistently achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual opportunity goals.
- Understand our sales process, tools and resources.
- Meet and exceed key daily metrics, including call volume, email volume, and connected call %.
- Drive enhanced sales velocity from lead to close won.
- Answer incoming calls and emails related to sales questions and respond to inquiries generated through marketing efforts.
- Build and cultivate prospective relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-up communications to move opportunities through the sales funnel, scheduling needs analysis calls and demonstrations for prospects in defined geography.
- Work with Manager, members of Technology Sales and Tech Marketing to develop and grow the sales pipeline.
- Make outbound calls on marketing campaigns to drive new opportunities.
- Qualify incoming leads before passing them to sales teams.
- Obses over building and managing the sales pipeline generating opportunities that lead to new sales.
- 1+ year of inside sales experience preferred or recent graduates with related experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Excellent computer proficiency (Salesforce, MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Capable of working under pressure, meeting deadlines, maintaining a positive attitude, and providing exemplary customer service.
- Aptitude and desire to sell, gain market and service knowledge and to learn technical product knowledge.
- Must be willing to travel to trade shows/events (possible).
Salary may vary depending on factors such as confirmed job-related skills, experience, and location. The pay range for this position is $17,000 - $23,000. Sales positions are eligible for a variable incentive and may include eligibility for a short-term incentive plan.
