Overview
Comprehensive Prosthetics & Orthotics is seeking a Healthcare RCM Account Executive – Practice Management Services to drive new business growth across the Chicagoland healthcare market. This role is responsible for selling Revenue Cycle Management, medical billing, reimbursement support, and practice management services to independent orthotic and prosthetic practices, specialty healthcare clinics, and provider organizations. The Healthcare RCM Account Executive will own the full sales cycle, including territory planning, outbound prospecting, pipeline development, discovery conversations, solution presentations, proposal development, contract negotiation, and client handoff.
This is an excellent opportunity for a healthcare sales professional with experience in Revenue Cycle Management, medical billing, healthcare technology, practice management, provider services, DME/HME, orthotics and prosthetics, or specialty medical practice operations
. The ideal candidate understands how billing performance, claims workflows, denials, reimbursement delays, payer requirements, administrative burden, and practice operations impact provider organizations and can translate those challenges into clear, consultative business solutions.
The Role
CPO is expanding its Practice Management Services division to support independent O&P and healthcare practices that need stronger billing infrastructure, improved reimbursement performance, and scalable operational support. This role will help build CPO’s market presence by identifying qualified prospects, developing relationships with practice owners and administrators, and positioning CPO as a trusted partner for long-term practice performance.
The Healthcare RCM Account Executive will work closely with internal leadership, revenue cycle operations, billing specialists, and client onboarding teams to ensure prospective clients understand CPO’s value proposition and experience a smooth transition from initial sales conversation to service implementation.
This is a consultative, relationship-driven sales role for someone who can build trust with healthcare decision-makers, understand operational pain points, and communicate the value of outsourced revenue cycle and practice management support.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities- Own and manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through signed agreement.
- Build and execute a territory development plan for the Chicagoland and surrounding healthcare markets.
- Identify and engage independent O&P practices, specialty clinics, physician practices, and other healthcare organizations that may benefit from RCM and practice management support.
- Conduct outbound prospecting through calls, email campaigns, Linked In outreach, referral networks, healthcare associations, industry events, and direct practice outreach.
- Lead discovery conversations with practice owners, administrators, billing leaders, and healthcare decision-makers to understand billing challenges, reimbursement pain points, operational gaps, and growth goals.
- Present CPO’s RCM and practice management services in a consultative, value-based manner.
- Develop and deliver proposals, presentations, service summaries, and business cases for prospective clients.
- Negotiate pricing, service terms, and partnership expectations in coordination with leadership.
- Maintain accurate pipeline activity, prospect notes, next steps, and sales forecasting in the company CRM.
- Partner with RCM, billing, operations, and leadership teams to align proposed solutions with actual client needs.
- Coordinate smooth handoffs from sales to implementation, onboarding, and account management.
- Track market trends, competitor positioning, payer/reimbursement challenges, and practice-management needs within the O&P and specialty healthcare space.
- Represent CPO professionally at industry events, networking opportunities, and client-facing meetings.
- Meet or exceed assigned sales activity, pipeline, revenue, and new-client acquisition goals.
