Role Overview

As a Named Account Manager, you will manage 10–15 Enterprise Healthcare accounts ranging from 3,000 to 50,000 mailboxes. You will work with partner communities to access white‑space accounts while upselling and cross‑selling existing customers, selling the full Proofpoint Platform and collaborating closely with internal and external ecosystem partners.

Responsibilities
  • Develop account plans for each named account and identify add‑on opportunities for the existing book of business.
  • Become a subject‑matter expert on the value of the Proofpoint platform and how it stacks against the competition.
  • Utilize existing networks, creativity, and marketing to break into new accounts and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Maintain a high level of activity, including customer and partner meetings with emphasis on executive selling (CISO, CIO, CMO, etc.).
  • Conduct quarterly Customer Business Reviews to demonstrate value and strategically manage renewals.
  • Educate customers on the Proofpoint roadmap, new solutions, integrations, and industry news.
  • Organize business through accurate forecasting and maintaining clean, clear Salesforce reporting.
  • Act as a team player, contributing to overall team success through result‑driven activity.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 7–10 years of field sales experience selling complex cybersecurity solutions (or related field) managing medium and large accounts in the Healthcare space.
  • Existing background selling into healthcare systems, payors, or medical manufacturing.
  • Rolodex of existing relationships in major health systems within the territory.
  • Track record of developing complex, multi‑product/multi‑year proposals and presenting focused on customer need.
  • Experience working with channel partners and selling via two‑tier distribution.
  • Proven ability to identify customer business drivers and sell use‑case / business value.
  • Strong executive‑level presenting skills and genuine curiosity about cybersecurity technology.
  • Organized and strategic through the entire sales process, from prospecting to close, and adept at managing internal and external resources.
