Install Technician – Stanley Access Technologies, Elgin, IL

We are seeking an Install Technician to perform installation and service work for our automatic doors and maintain accurate records. This role requires the ability to lift heavy equipment and travel to customer sites.

• Perform installation or service work as designated in a profitable and proper manner. Record productive time versus travel time.
• Perform preventive maintenance work in accordance with the service program designated for specific customers.
• Maintain accurately all work records and parts used at each job in accordance with established procedure.
• Keep updated on all changes/modifications to Stanley equipment and ANSI 156.10 standard as notified through published communications.
• Keep manuals and all details up to date as changes are advised.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools and other property in proper manner.
• Present neat and clean appearance personally and in workmanship, in accordance with company policies.
• Maintain adequate parts inventory for service vehicle; keep inventory log.
• Test equipment before leaving job site; perform safety check.
• Maintain good customer relations and customer service.
• Assist and instruct others in install/service methods.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid state driver’s license without restrictions.
• Ability to lift 75‑100lbs.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to sit while driving for periods of time up to 2 hours.
• Ability to stand on concrete for periods of time up to 8 hours.
• Ability to stoop, crouch, kneel, crawl, and twist spine occasionally.
• Vision not limited in near, far, or color.
• Ability to work in various climates.
• Flexible work schedule with ability to work nights and/or weekends as necessary.

• Prior experience in the construction industry or electrical field.
• Prior experience servicing automated doors, glazing, installing glass, installing door frames, building door frames, reading blueprints, AAADM Certification.

Base hourly range: $34.25 – $57.08 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permissible by law.
