Job Overview
Our Lamar office in Collinsville, Illinois is hiring an Operations crew member to install and maintain billboards for brands in Collinsville, IL and surrounding areas. The role includes the installation of advertisements, maintenance of structures, upkeep of billboard cosmetology, and other related responsibilities as part of a crew.

- Install and maintain all billboard structures, including removing and hanging flexes, vinyl, and Tri‑Vision copy.
- Repair structures – tighten bolts, paint steel, replace trim, change light bulbs, and assemble components when required.
- Build and install extensions, clear brush and weeds, conduct storm damage repairs, perform minor electrical repairs, and keep the workshop area clean.
- Use power and manual tools while adhering to all safety regulations and attending required safety meetings.
- Maintain and service operation vehicles, tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Document installations with photographs and written logs.
- Work outdoors in adverse weather, including climbing to heights up to 200ft.
- Heavy lifting (up to 100lb), extensive bending, reaching, and other manual tasks as needed.
- Occasional on‑call shifts and limited overnight travel (less than 10%).
- Heavy lifting up to 100lb.
- Extensive bending, pushing, reaching, and standing.
- Reading, color discrimination, and visual acuity requirements.
- Less than 50% sitting; majority standing and walking.
- Driving and climbing as required.
- Good communication skills; fluent in English.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Basic computer skills, Internet navigation, and Microsoft Word & Excel.
- Compliance with Lamar safety standards.
- Pre‑capability to use ladders and carry equipment from vehicle to site.
- Working knowledge of electrical skills and techniques.
- Working knowledge of fabrication techniques.
- Ability to read technical documents, such as blueprints and diagrams.
- Knowledge of DOT and OSHA safety regulations.
- Safe use of construction equipment for outdoor structures.
- Ability to climb heights and work at heights above ground safely.
- Documentation skills: photographing and written logs.
- Mathematics application for construction and operations tasks.
- Priority setting skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Completion of an OSHA 10‑hour Construction course (required).
- Preferred certifications: CDL/Non‑CDL, Crane, Signal, Rigging, or LDD (depending on location).
- Preferred experience working at heights up to 200ft.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
