Field Service Tech

Field Service Technician Elgin, IL | $65,000 - $85,000 + Paid Travel Expenses | 65-80% Travel

Join a growing team supporting advanced industrial plasma systems across North America. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on technician who enjoys travel, troubleshooting, and working directly with customers. When you're not traveling, you'll be based out of our Elgin office providing customer support and coordinating service activities.

• Commission and start up equipment at customer facilities
• Perform preventive maintenance and system inspections
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues
• Train customer maintenance teams on equipment operation and upkeep
• Complete system upgrades, retrofits, and modifications
• Document service work and provide technical support

• 3+ years of field service, maintenance, manufacturing, or industrial equipment experience
• Basic electrical knowledge (180V-480V, power supplies, wiring, fuses)
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical blueprints/schematics
• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience
• Self‑motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently

• 65-80% travel throughout the U.S.
• Monday-Friday schedule with rare weekend travel
• Most trips last 1-3 days
• Company credit card provided for flights
• Hotel, meals, rental cars, and mileage reimbursed
• All travel expenses paid by the company
