Direct Hire Industrial Electrician (Jr / Sr)

Elgin, IL
Shift: 2nd shift, 2pm to 10pm M-F
Pay: $33‑51 per hour based on experience

Kelly is seeking Junior and Senior Industrial Electricians to support maintenance operations by troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical systems. This role plays a key part in keeping equipment running efficiently, minimizing downtime, and supporting ongoing maintenance projects within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform industrial electrical troubleshooting and repairs on production equipment
- Test, replace, and adjust fuses, solenoids, contractors, relays, switches, breakers, motor starters, and photo eyes
- Run conduit, pull wire, and complete electrical terminations
- Troubleshoot AC/DC control circuits, motors, drives, PLCs, and ladder logic
- Work with single‑phase and three‑phase systems (110V, 240V, 277V, 480V, 24V controls)
- Use volt/amp meters to diagnose electrical issues
- Perform basic pneumatic and hydraulic repairs
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
- Support electrical preventive maintenance and building maintenance
- Assist maintenance team members with troubleshooting as needed
- Work independently while maintaining strong communication with the team
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- 8+ years of industrial electrical experience (level based on Jr/Sr classification)
- Strong industrial troubleshooting skills
- Experience with 480V, 3‑phase systems
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with industrial facilities and systems
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Proficiency with MS Word and Excel is a plus
- Ability to work overtime or weekends as needed

- Computer and basic office equipment
- Tow motor and related maintenance equipment
