Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Position Summary
A Maintenance Tech will perform machine and building repair, preventive maintenance, and general upkeep so the facility and equipment are in good operational condition. Install new equipment or upgrades to equipment. Keep equipment and facility up to all safety and environmental codes, both state and federal. Schedule outside services and interact with outside contracts.
Responsibilities- Electrical:
Perform electrical troubleshooting, read electrical diagrams and symbols. Able to read and write advanced electrical schematics; must be able to read P&, use handheld voltage meters, oscilloscopes, ammeters, etc. - Mechanical:
Install functional and structural parts in devices; adjust functional parts of devices and control instrumentation. Maintain and repair air compressors, air dryers, gas systems, alarm systems, water and vacuum systems, etc. Follow Preventive Maintenance Instructions and ensure records are properly documented. - PLC:
Read and interpret PLC programs. Troubleshoot problems in PLC hardware and software. - Fabrication:
Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts. Conduct periodic inspections to determine maintenance needs. Design/build complex parts as needed for the plant using millwright tools (lathe, index mill, welding, press, bender, etc.). - Heating/Cooling:
Work with advanced air conditioning and heating circuits; troubleshoot and repair chillers and air dryers. - Projects:
Be a well-rounded maintenance person with knowledge and experience in troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical motion control components. - Safety and teamwork:
Actively participate in and support the plant’s safety program; report injuries, near misses, and unsafe conditions to the appropriate leads or EHS manager. - Continuous improvement:
Actively participate in the High Performance Team designated for your area to improve the work experience and contribute improvement ideas. - Documentation:
Record accurate and timely data, including order completions, daily labor reports, reclaim tickets, and daily hours worked. - Work environment:
Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area; keep walkways and aisles free of debris; maintain 5S standards by returning tools to shadow boards. - Attendance and scheduling:
Daily attendance is required; arriving on time; overtime may be required when customer demand dictates. - Other duties as assigned.

- Pay Range: $29.03/hr to $40.92/hr
