Mechatronics & Robotics Technician
JLL invites you to join our team as a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician. In this role you will support the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building, and by installing, maintaining, and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment.
Responsibilities- Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
- Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to material handling equipment (e.g., belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays).
- Maintain a positive working relationship across all Operations facilities.
- Track and store department inventory.
- Move up to 49 lbs; stand, walk, and work in shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
- Travel up to 20% of the time.
- High‑school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- At least 2 years of experience repairing material‑handling equipment.
- At least 2 years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
- Associate’s degree or higher in a vocational school or college (Mechanical or Electrical).
- At least 2 years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
- Minimum 1 year of blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
- Minimum 1 year of knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.
- Experience with MHE safety standards, OEM specifications, and safety standards.
- Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Experience with robotic or electromechanical operation and maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions.
- Repeated bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking.
- Lifting parts and tools averaging 20 lbs, sometimes up to 49 lbs.
- Dexterity for eye/hand coordination, foot pedaling, and wrist motion.
- Work in small spaces, dusty or fume‑filled areas, hot or cold temperatures, noisy or vibrating environments, and on concrete for long hours.
- Walking or standing on concrete for 10+ hour shifts.
- Pushing or pulling wheeled equipment and carts up to 100+ lbs.
- Maneuvering awkward or bulky equipment parts.
- Work in cramped positions under/behind machinery.
- Working at heights as required.
Estimated compensation: 61,547.00 – 61,547.20 USD per year (adjusted for qualifications, location, and market conditions).
