Full Time Shop Dispatcher for our Kankakee, IL location.

Who we are looking for:
We are looking for Dispatched to prepare, update, and dispatch workload to the Technicians in an effective and timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Servicing of gasoline and diesel powered buses from basic maintenance and minor repairs to full vehicle service. This is a safety-sensitive position. Employees holding this position are responsible for the safe performance of the job duties.
- Assign jobs to technicians based on workload and technician location.
- Prepare, update, and dispatch the daily work orders.
- Gather and maintain work orders and documentation
- Ensure job completion and invoice customers when the jobs are completed
- Understand and ensure compliance with all International and vendor policies and warranty procedures
- Properly document all warranty claims and track all warranty parts
- Provides warranty update information to service staff and technicians as needed.
- Ensures that all warrantable repairs are documented
- Attend all Service Staff meetings as required.
- Provide excellent customer service
- Look up warranty history and potential open recalls on buses
- Code RO’s for proper billing; customer, warranty, or company code
- Track service work orders from start to finish
- Properly document all work orders
- Communicate with Parts Dept and Service Technicians to make sure everything needed is on hand
- Contact manufacturers for warranty approvals, issues, goodwill, and repair assistance
- Keeps updated on all warranty policies and product changes
- Other duties as assigned
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in the Medium/Heavy Duty truck, automotive industry
- Problem solving skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently
