Job Description

As a Senior AI Cloud Platform Engineer, you will act as a full‑stack engineer who builds and operates the cloud application development and hosting platforms for Allstate. You will own, develop, implement, and operate GenAI Cloud platforms, and build, administer, and deploy self‑service tools that enable Allstate developers to build, deploy, and operate artificial intelligence applications to solve our most complex business challenges.

You will split your time between operational tasks to maintain the platform and handling customer requests, and engineering new solutions to automate the build and operational tasks. You will serve as a pair anchor, advocate of paired programming, test‑driven development, infrastructure engineering, and continuous delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as an anchor to enable the Digital product team for the GenAI analytics Platform, delivering product and solution briefings, creating demos, executing proof‑of‑concept projects, and collaborating with product management to prioritize solutions that drive consumer adoption of Vertex AI, Azure AI Foundry, AI Services, OpenAI, Agentic AI, AWS Sage Maker, and AWS Bedrock.
  • Write and build continuous delivery pipelines to manage and automate the lifecycle of the different platform components.
  • Build, manage, and operate the infrastructure‑as‑a‑service layer (hosted and cloud‑based platforms) that supports the different platform services.
  • Lead post‑mortem activities to identify systemic solutions to improve overall platform operations, and recommend and improve technology‑related policies and procedures.
  • Identify and troubleshoot any availability and performance issues at multiple layers of deployment, from hardware, operating environment, network, and application.
  • Evaluate performance trends and expected changes in demand and capacity, and establish appropriate scalability plans.
  • Integrate different components and develop new services with a focus on open source to allow a minimal‑friction developer interaction with the platform and application services.
  • Build, manage, and operate the infrastructure and configuration of platform and application environments with a focus on automation and infrastructure‑as‑code.
  • Maintain and enhance the existing Terraform codebase.
Experience
  • 3 or more years of experience (Preferred).
  • Knowledge of prompt engineering, Agentic and AI open‑source ecosystem.
  • Experience with Google Vertex AI.
  • Experience and skills with Azure application and AI services.
  • Experience with AWS Bedrock (Preferred).
  • Knowledge of consuming large‑language models (LLM) and foundational model APIs.
  • Experience in Terraform development.
Skills
  • Cloud platforms:
    Azure, AWS, Google.
  • Generative AI.
  • Programming languages:
    Python.
  • Infrastructure as code (IaC):
    Terraform (including Tofu/Env0 tools).
