POSITION OVERVIEW
Love soccer? Want a fun way to make some extra money and stay active? Elgin Parks & Recreation is looking for youth soccer officials for our recreational soccer leagues. Our focus is on learning, sportsmanship, and fun - not just the final score.
Seasons
- Spring: April - June
- Fall: August - September
- Most games are on Saturdays, starting as early as 9:00 AM
- Some weeknight games may be scheduled
- You can work one or both seasons, based on availability
What You'll Do
- Officiate youth recreational soccer games
- Help create a positive, safe, and fun environment for players
- Apply rules with an emphasis on learning and fair play
- Communicate clearly with coaches and players
- Show up on time and ready to go
Why Officiate?

Who We're Looking For
- Must be at least 14 years old
- Basic knowledge of soccer (playing or watching counts!)
- Experience of ficiating is great, but not required
- Responsible, dependable, and comfortable working with kids
