An Air Export Coordinator manages the logistics of shipping goods by air, ensuring compliance with regulations and timely delivery. They prepare shipping documents, coordinate with freight forwarders, track shipments, and communicate with clients. They also handle customs clearance, resolve shipping issues, and work with internal teams.

Freight Forwarder CoordinationWorking with freight forwarders to book shipments, select optimal routes, and arrange transportation.
Shipment TrackingMonitoring the progress of shipments, providing updates to clients and relevant parties, and ensuring on-time delivery.
Customs ComplianceEnsuring all exports adhere to relevant regulations, including those of the origin and destination countries.
CommunicationMaintaining clear and effective communication with clients, freight forwarders, airlines, and other stakeholders.
Problem SolvingAddressing and resolving any issues that arise during the export process, such as delays, documentation errors, or customs holds.
Data EntryAccurately recording and maintaining shipment information in relevant systems.
In bond ServicesProcessing in bonds for in transit cargo.
Training available for the job. We are looking for a person with five years of experience in Air export. This is a Lead position.
Requirements- Education:
A high school diploma or GED is typically required, with a bachelor's degree in logistics or related fields preferred. - Experience:
Some roles require experience in air freight forwarding, while others offer training for entry-level candidates. - Knowledge:
Understanding of export regulations, incoterms, and customs procedures. - Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in using computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite and potentially proprietary logistics software. - Soft Skills:
Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. - Attention to Detail:
Accuracy in documentation and data entry. - Adaptability:
The ability to adjust to changing situations and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
