Order Picker Job Description
As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for moving inventory and pulling orders throughout the day, specifically focusing on glass hardware parts. You will utilize a physical order sheet to pick orders and prepare them for shipment. Initially, you will use a box cutter and will be trained on equipment such as pallet jacks and sit-down forklifts. Previous experience with these tools is advantageous but not mandatory.
Responsibilities- Move inventory and pull orders using a physical order sheet.
- Prepare items for shipment, focusing on glass hardware parts.
- Use a box cutter initially and be trained on pallet jacks and sit-down forklifts.
- Package and label glass hardware.
- Receive and unload trucks, break down pallets, and sort items.
- Quantify, stage, and cycle count inventory.
- Lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
- At least 3 months of experience with order picking.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Proficiency in reading order sheets.
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the day.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with sit-down forklifts.
- Previous warehouse picking/shipping and receiving experience.
- Basic computer skills.

Work EnvironmentThe work is conducted in a very large warehouse with aisles of inventory. The dress code requires pants, steel-toe shoes, and prohibits tank tops and baggy clothing. Personal protective equipment will be provided. The warehouse is clean but not temperature controlled, reflecting external weather conditions. Noise levels can be moderate to high due to equipment operation.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
