At Literati, we believe in the power of terrific books. We are on a mission to ignite a love of learning and a love of life by curating transformative literary experiences for every reader: anyone who dreams, anyone who wonders, of any age. There are some stories no child should live without, and no adult should ever forget.

Literati is the fastest-growing company in Arts + Literature in the United States and the fifth fastest growing company in Texas. After launching an innovative try-before-you-buy print book club for kids in 2017, the company expanded in 2020 into hosting print and digital book clubs for the world's top authors, celebrities, and brands. New for 2022, Literati has expanded into children's book fairs.

Lovingly referred to as Austin's "fiction factory," the company curates and fulfills over a million books each quarter.

As a Dock Specialist you will report to the Fulfillment Center Manager focused on ensuring we utilize our dock space fully and ship and receive product accurately. You will play a crucial role in inventory accuracy, quality control, and dock management. The Dock Specialist responsibilities primarily include but are not limited to: driver check-in, loading and unloading bookfair shipments, managing BOLs and quality documentation for truckloads, updating systems as shipments occur, unloading and receiving of new inventory, general dock flow and organization.

The impact areas for the Dock Specialist are revenue growth, Fulfillment Center execution, and quality control. The rewards of the position are high visibility and positive impact on literacy world-wide. Growth opportunities exist as we are a startup and anticipate robust growth in business year over year. To be equitable to all Literati ans, we have set compensation and a non-negotiation policy- we don't think a person's pay should be determined by how comfortable they negotiate.

As a result, we like to be transparent and up-front about the compensation. When we make an offer, we can provide options so employees can choose between compensation packages, prioritizing salary or equity. The hourly rate for this role will be $18.00/hr.
