Assistant Professor – Management

The Department of Business, Accounting and Sport Management at Elizabeth City State University, accredited by AACSB International, invites applications for a 9‑month, tenure‑track faculty member (Assistant/Associate Professor) in Management.

This position will develop and deliver courses for traditional and virtual classrooms for undergraduate students in the Department and will teach undergraduate courses with emphasis in experiential learning; engage in relevant research and publish in quality outlets; advise students for academic preparation, career, and graduate school; provide service to the Department, University, and Profession; and develop collaborative relationships with the community.

• Effective communication skills; ability to write grants and/or conduct and publish research.
• Demonstrated commitment to collegiality and diverse work environments.
• Enthusiasm for mentoring undergraduate students in research projects and experience in innovative, problem‑based teaching and experiential learning.
• Commitment to excellence in student learning and ability to promote students’ success in a multicultural and global community.
• Research background that complements the existing diversity of research by the departmental faculty.

• A Doctorate degree is required for the rank of Assistant Professor.
• May hire at the rank of Lecturer with a master’s degree from a regionally accredited university with a minimum of 18 graduate semester‑hour credits in a relevant field and three years of college‑level teaching.
